RESEARCH IN MATH EDUCATION & COURSE DESIGN

This past summer (2022), I collaborated with Professor Cynthia Farthing in the mathematics department and university personnel from the Center of Teaching and Learning on course improvement for College Algebra (MATH:1005). We focused on the implementation of metacognitive journals and their role in the success of undergraduate students in College Algebra.

Our poster Implementing Metacognitive Supports in College Algebra Course has been accepted for presentation at the AAC&U STEM Conference on Transforming STEM Higher Education (Arlington, VA; November 3-5, 2022).
